Nuked artichoke

          Nuked-microwaved-artichoke

You will never boil an artichoke again, I promise-this is sooo much better and easier and faster...

Trim artichoke as shown with scissors or knife.

Rinse in cold water, leaving some of the drops clinging to the leaves.  Wrap twice tightly in clear plastic wrap.

Nuke for 6-7 min. on high setting for regular, up to 10 min. for extra large flowers.  Let rest 5 minutes.  They should 'give' when you squeeze the heart (the base), but don't over-cook.

Remove plastic wrap and set artichoke in serving bowl.  Tap the top with a fork or knife to open. Serve with melted butter, ranch dressing or plain mayonaise for dipping.
