               Roasted or grilled asparagus

Trim bottom 1/3 off each stalk.  Lay on cookie sheet and drizzle with olive oil.  Season with salt and pepper.  Roast at 375 for about 20 minutes.  Test with fork for tenderness.  The half-burned, pruned out look is actually indicative of perfection, especially off the grill.
