And here is how Biden will pay for it all...

So evidently Pres. Biden knows what's about to happen, and he's already spent the incoming money on his new American Utopia.  His coming programs can not be sustained just on our current economy, that's for sure.

But if all of a sudden we had infinite power at our fingertips and could power everything cleanly and efficiently and at zero cost, well imagine the economic roar as every aspect of our lives finally gets a boost into the Jetsons. Electricity will be generated by this new tech until all our appliances and vehicles and homes can be transformed in ways we have yet to imagine.  But even if the power is free, in whatever form, you'll still have to pay for ways to use it, so let's hope a Big Mac isn't $100 in five years!

Are we about to validate the Ancient Aliens Theory?
Have the Gods returned, as promised?
Is the end of an era for mankind and the beginning of another meant literally?  What do we call this new age?
Should we read the Old Testament with a new outlook and take it more literally and less symbolically than we thought?

and they ate him for it!  The millionaires ganged up on the billionaire to showcase the biggest display of hypocrisy in the history of man kind.   If that doesn't take the cake!   I can't believe this is happening in my America, are any of you out there as outraged as I am?  I shake my head in disbelief, yet the idiocracy not only continues, but continues to escalate.  Bloomie had the cojones to call them out on their sheer stupidity, and they plain and simple rejected the very heart of what it means to be an American-making money and improving your circumstances!   A few cliches come to mind...."don't bite the hand that feeds you", "stupid is as stupid does", "are you even listening to what's coming out of your own mouth?"   These people are literally unable to connect cause and effect, they exhibit tangible symptoms of mental illness.  I wouldn't trust them to take care of my dog for a week, let alone my country for any stretch of time.  I will now start planning the party I will have after President Trump's re-election.

Too many cooks spoil the broth....

......I think basically means each one will add their own ingredients their own way in their own time, and before you know it it's ruined.  I've done that before all alone in the kitchen to be honest, concocted stuff and kept adding until I had an inedible mess on my hands.
Now to translate: I would like to see us Americans NOT refer to ourselves or each other as hyphenated Americans, but only as Americans. I have never, ever called myself a Hungarian-American, and I am first generation!   My father said we didn't come here to be Hungarians in America.  We did not align ourselves with the Hungarians already living here.  Many of them thought and acted mostly like they did back in the old country, 'cause assimilation is not always easy.

Our government should be blind to our race, our religion, our national origin, our sexual orientation, our (adult) age, whether we eat pizza or Chicken Paprikas.  Remember:

"Our nation is not bound together by common ties of blood, race, or religion; we are united instead by our devotion to shared ideals...."-Bruce Cole

We do ourselves and our fellow citizens disservice by arbitrarily or voluntarily self segregating.  In the eyes of Uncle Sam, there should not be Black Americans, or Gay Americans, or White Americans, or Hispanic Americans, or Asian Americans, or even Native Americans, or Italian Americans (how many generations do they have to be here before they don't refer to the family line as Italian American anyway?  Worked in Vegas with lots of Italian Americans---no, wait, they've never even been to Italy!  See what I mean?)  It's time to get past that now and live the constitution as meant and written, and let's all just be patriotic, law abiding American citizens.  The fed. government promised to treat us equally, all of us.  The color of our skin, the language of our prayers, the words spoken in our homes, with whom we keep company, all these things are non of government's business.   We should all be just equal citizens in it's eyes.

Ok, I admit, the very handle thenaturalizedcitizen sounds like a hyphenated American.  I apologize for any perceived hypocrisy, but I thought it was catchy....LOLOL.

How do you know you've assimilated?

So, you've learned to speak English fluently.  You make Thanksgiving Dinner with turkey and the all the rest.  You've learned to text.  Your kids have Face-Book pages and roll their eyes at you when you question their clothing choices.  Once a week you all go out for burgers or pizza.  You're wearing blue jeans and sneakers.  You're cooking meatloaf, pot roast and spaghetti with the same frequency as the dishes of the 'Old Country'.  You watch reality shows on television.  You know who is who is politics and show biz.  So, are you now an American?
Having and doing these American things is part of the total experience, but it's not the totality of it.  To be an American is a state of mind, a way of thinking.  Some of the world thinks this way of thinking is the 'what's in it for me' mentality.  Well, they are partially right.  This is the continent of the self-made man, the individual.  But there are differences between drive and greed.
The Constitution prohibits bestowing titles on citizens such as Duke or King.  The idea is that 'all men are created equal', meaning no-one has a higher status of being just because of the household they are born into.  Do you believe that we are all equal at birth, that no babe is more 'morally superior' than any other?   That's American.  If you really think about it, nations with kings and rulers and dictatorships-now there is greed and selfishness at it's height.
Our nation is full of the self made man.  In the beginning, we had no choice.  If you wanted something done in the colonial days, you had to do it yourself.  Build a house, grow some crop, go to market-it was all up to you and yours.  No hand-outs, only from your church and friends if you were a decent enough fellow.  Those early immigrants with genes for stamina, innovation and guts were the most successful, and left the most descendants behind.  Intelligent, driven, individualistic people tend to make the same kind of offspring.  It takes drive, strive and guts to emigrate to a new land.   So you see, success will generally beget success, and perseverance is the key.  When you encounter a successful person, are you thinking 'greedy s.o.b.'?  Not American.  A real American should not feel jealousy or anger toward his countrymen about financial success, but instead realize that success is a symptom of having drive, gumption and know-how.    An American knows that he too can be successful if he applies himself, uses his natural talents and supplements those by learning new things.
The biggest American concept is 'live and let live'.  The right of the individual to pursue his life as he sees fit, as long as it does not harm someone else.  Don't like homeless on the street?  Too bad for you, it would be un-American and un-constitutional to force them into housing if they don't want to go as long as they're 'harmless'.  Hence, we live with some social problems we can not 'fix', because it's not government's job to do so.  We can not force people to work.  We can not force people to marry, have children, use or not use birth-control, get an education, practice safe sex, become straight or gay, be religious or not. We must be exposed to-but don't have to adopt-cultures much different than our own, some of which are obviously detrimental to individual and group success.  I just don't see how 'Gangsta' Rap' is beneficial to our society, especially for those who wish to move on from the injustices of the past and embrace a better future.    And I find nothing American-free, open and opportunistic-about wearing  a hijab or a burqa, but she has every right to do so as long as it's voluntary.
Read those last two lines again.  That is my opinion, and as an American I often practice my First Amendment rights to freedom of speech.  That's what the Gangster Rapper is doing, too.  Sometimes some injustice is so great, some pain so long lasting, some concept so against your norm that letting that discomfort or confusion out is the only way to deal with it.  It is ok to stand up for and preach what you believe in, to try to strenghten your flock if you will as long as you don't try to stop me from leaving if I want to.
So, if you speak out sometimes and let your opinion or ideas be heard in the crowd, if you're tolerant (not have to agree with, but do tolerate without violence) of the differences around you even if they seem unpleasant, if you strive to be the best at what you are doing, if you believe that you can succeed at it one day as long as you keep working at it, if you believe your children can have it better than you did, if you believe in the power of the individual, and that without the success of the individual our society would not exist-congratulations, you have assimilated and think like an true American.

Why do they want to be Socialists?

There is so much wrong with almost everything the left is offering today that I will not even go there.  If you're reading this, you already know anyway.   These ideas are not new to me, I was BORN into them.  I went to elementary school in communist Hungary in the 70's during the cold war.   There was a framed picture of Lenin or Stalin or both in every classroom.  We sang songs about the pleasures of sowing and reaping, and work in general.  We looked identical in our blue bottoms and white tops and blue or red bandanas around our necks.    Indoctrination started early in childhood.
Seeing people as they really are and how we wish them to be is two different things.  The utopia described in movies and books and political propaganda writings are not possible in the real world.  Why not?  Because we are not ants, or bees, or even a colony of penguins.  We are selfish, munipulative, capable of cheating and lying beings who are instinctively motivated by reward and/or punishment and will act in our own best interest. On the whole,  will not work to support someone we don't know, who's not related to us, who doesn't work themselves even though they could.   Nobody in their right mind would.  And so since reward would no longer be an incentive in this brave new world, only punishment can be.   You sing about the rewards of your hard labor, and inside you're cursing the  ideological whip that keeps you working.  This is just reality and fact.
And by the way, there were beggars on the streets of my youth.  There were garbage pickers.  There were bums sleeping in the subways.  The communist utopia of my childhood was about quotas--the quotas that kept my dad out of university, the rationing that cut you off at the butcher counter just as you were getting your turn and they "ran out", my grandmother complaining about the voting ballot-there was only one name, Brezhnev, and you circled yes or no.  Of course he always won with a resounding 95% yes!  But my grandma would dare bitch about it all in her own kitchen and my grandpa would shush her like "Stop talking like that, women, before the neighbors hear you".  He wasn't kidding.
I'm sad.  Not even 300 years and it seems the end is near.  And there is nowhere else left to go to try again, there is no more land where one can be truly free of the tyranny of the majority.    I want my America back, the one where liberal meant 1) a woman's right to a safe and rare abortion before the first 12 weeks, 2) accepting same sex marriages  3)not being frowned upon for being non-religious  3)no discrimination based on sex, age, religion, nationality, sexual orientation or political affiliation.   That would be the liberals of my youth in America. Love, peace, no more war, pass the joint.   Their biggest clash with their parents was their long hair and refusal to go to church.  Oh, and of course, all our military interventions were just plain wrong because who made us the policemen of the world? Who could argue with that?  They did not, however, want to implement the very systems that us NATURALIZED CITIZENS were escaping from.  At least back then.
But that is also changing.  There are more immigrants coming to America today from already Democratic countries today than ever before.    Well the Soviet block is broken up, the Berlin wall has come down, and Socialist Democracy is practiced all over Europe.  So why are they still coming here, when they have basic human rights and free elections in their own countries?   Because their economies run on socialism- as in the state controls all big money making enterprises.  Like car factories, and oil pumps, refineries and all gas stations.  Like farmland-think like a surf, you're only leasing the land and selling the product back to the landlord.  Like all tv stations, news papers and magazines, anything in print.  Also things like tourist attractions, large hotels, amusement parks.  All schools, universities and vocational training schools.  All state owned.  Professional sports teams too!  They might see a drop in their paychecks.   And Hollywood too, the state would totally take ownership of production companies.   So you understand that under Socialism, no one gets super rich.  Like Donald Trump or Oprah or Bernie Sanders or Rockefeller or Shell or MGM or...you get the picture. A few who control the government in your name will get rich, like the Obamas and the Clintons.  They were not rich when they started out, but they sure are now.

Your Big Mac purchasing power...

7/29/2019

Picture

I sure do still love a Big Mac.  About twice a year, on the long drive to wherever, hubby and I might drive through a Mickey D.'s and it's inevitable that I order the Big Mac, and he orders two double cheeseburgers.   It's always a bit messy to eat while driving, the lettuce falling out, the patties sliding around and the special sauce dripping though my fingers as I take big bites.  Even without my eyes closed (I'm driving!)  it always takes me back to childhood.  I know I'll never forget my first visit to the Golden Arches in 1977 shortly after my arrival.  Ah, that taste that hasn't changed much, that feeling of comfort and youth and....it is smaller though, I know, it's not just that my hands are bigger now.   Anyway, let's get to the point.  This is not a Big Mac index about foreign currency exchange values.  I want to show you what they don't teach you in high school any more, real plain and simple.

The first column shows the year, the second the Federal minimum wage in that year, the third the price of a Big Mac in that year, and the last one tells how many Big Macs you could purchase with one hour of those minimum wages.  (info commonly found on internet, I'm not going to footnote google)  Let's look now:

      Year                              Wage/hr.                          Price                               Big Macs

    1977................................$2.30..............................$0.95...................................2.42
    1982..................................3.35.................................1.30...................................2.57
    1994..................................4.25.................................2.30...................................1.84
    2004.................................5.15..................................2.90...................................1.77
    2014..................................7.25.................................4.80...................................1.51

    when................................15.00................................9.75....................................1.53

So it's clear that along with a steady increase in wages, there is a steady increase in the price of the Big Mac.   So at 15 dollars an hour, the price of the Mac would be round 10 dollars indeed, and you would not be getting any more burger for your hour than you do today.  In fact, you can see that in 1982 your one hour of labor bought you 2  1/2 burgers!  But today that same hour of labor buys you only 1 1/2 burgers, a whole burger less.  Now only one person gets a whole burger for that same hour, and not both of you.  Gonna have to work another half hour to get the same amount of food.  But why did the price of the burger go up so much too?  Because only the cost of making the burger went up, not the number of burgers being made or sold.    The number of burgers stays determined by supply and demand-how many can they sell.  When the minimum wage is hiked, it has nothing to do with the employer making more money or moving more product, it has to do with an artificial hike in his production line he has no control over.   So the cost is passed down to you, the consumer, if he is to comply and still stay in business.   BECAUSE HE ISN'T MAKING ANY MORE MONEY IN HIS BUSINESS  THAN BEFORE, ONLY THE PEOPLE HE HAS TO PAY ARE GETTING MORE.

Please explain this to anyone you know who is demanding an artificially inflated economy.   I used Big Macs here to illustrate, but this principle applies to all goods and services.  How do we stop this madness?  Well, we demand something for something, all the time, for a change.  Labor for money, an increase in burger output from the employees, and an increase in sales.  That's how you do it NOT artificially.  You give a raise when it's warranted by production and profit.  Just an idea!

Evelyn Beatrice Hall paraphrased Voltaire philosophy on the freedom of speech very well when she wrote "I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it".   Many younger adults don't seem to believe in this concept in today's movements.
I think it needs to be clarified that this phrase applies to your opinions, subjective and intransitive thoughts.   Like if you were to say "I hate Donald Trump", I would say that while I personally do not hate him, in fact I like him in the role he is now, I defend your right to voice your hatred for the President.   I defend my right to voice my opinions in these pages.   Now, to say Donald Trump is a racist is not your opinion, since being a racist has a very clear definition, and observable actions as such, which clearly fall under the definition or they don't.   The President's actions, concrete words and real life deeds actually show that he does not fit the definition of a racist, at all, so therefore he is not a racist.  Period.  Fact.

People of Color-----------------------------not racist
Colored People-----------------------------racist
The Blacks----------------------------------racist
The Black Community---------------------not racist
The Gays------------------------------------racist
The Gay Community-----------------------not racist
The Jews, The Whites, The Chinese, The Somali, etc----not racist!?
           whiskey              tango                 foxtrot

Feeble minds are so easily mislead. So much time and effort is spent coddling the feelings of people who mostly lack reason.

"Muslim Collective for Equitable           Democracy 2019" conference

-,
So while we were all glued to Mueller TV and were told the reason he can't exonerate the Pres is because 1) no one has such powers and 2)he did nothing illegal, and the dems should stop saying things like "have you stopped beating your wife yet", this happened.  Read the whole thing carefully.

For the reasons stated in the previous posting, I think the very premise of the conference is disturbing.   I welcome all citizens to the political process (read my essays from years back), but I do insist that it be the American political process based on the Constitution.  Facts like this: Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison, the first Muslim elected to Congress, said Muslim American legislators should pursue an agenda that includes calling for a Muslim day at each statehouse...so the very beginning of the process would be to start a "bring your religion to work in the federal government day".  Notice the call is for a Muslim day, not a general all religion day.  That's because the rest of us can separate our faith from our secular lives, but Muslims can not.  I don't think Hassidic Jews can either, but I also have not seen one of them running for any public office.
Other than "Trump is a racist and an Islamophobe", the point of the first conference of it's kind is to rally the Muslim community into political participation to fight the system of oppression that keeps Muslims down in so many walks of life.  But don't ask anyone about their beliefs or values because that's off limits.

"What we look for and what this whole conversation is about, is that not only do we have internalized fears about what we might believe but that we also don't have assumptions about what our value basis might be because of where we might come from," Omar added. "I would like not just for you but for everyone to know that if you want us to speak as politicians, then you treat us as such."-Ilhan Omar

Well you should be careful what you ask for Congresswoman, because we the people don't have a pretty track record with our politicians in general.  You should be calling on your fellow Muslims to assimilate to our values and live as Americans.  But I don't think that is the intent here, I think it's more about changing-well,  the state of Minnesota to start with.

Why Islam is Un-American....

7/22/2019

Picture
Yes, I meant to say exactly what those words clearly spell out.  I am worried about women in Islamic head scarfs who represent American citizens in Congress. There is no reconciling Islam and the First 10 Constitutional Amendments, the Bill of Rights.  I was expecting to do a lot of research and a little reasoning, but fortunately for me the work has been done.  There are multiple sites and pages on the subject, and I found this one here to be right to the point, thoroughly researched and well presented.  Thank you   themediadesk.com .

I will now paraphrase:  you have no individual rights as a citizen of an Islamic country, especially as a woman.   There is no freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom of the press, freedom to gather in public, or freedom to criticize the government.  You may not own a gun, and you will host anyone you are told to by the local magistrate at his discretion.  He can also order a search of your house at any time for any reason, and since there is no due process to speak of, you can kiss your rights of the accused good-bye. You may be treated differently than the next accused based on the judges mood and what he had for dinner.  As in you can be jailed indefinitely for no or any reason, denied bail, denied a lawyer, tried in a kangaroo court in secret and be disappeared without any recourse from anyone.  You, the person, do not matter and do not count.  You exist to serve the state.  In theory at least, in America the state exists to serve you.
So there are the basic fundamental differences in how we think and act in America, and how the Islamic parts of the world actually work.  In order to be an American, one must accept and truly believe in the Bill of Rights.  One must actually live by the principles of those amendments.  Living under/with Islam and Sharia is about surrendering yourself-and all aspects of your life-to the will of Allah.  Being an American is about existing as an individual in a sea of many other individuals who live together but not as one. Each of us has free will, and while we are a social and communal society, we recognize each person as separate from the whole.   Instead of "all for one and one for all", it's more like "every man for himself!" And that's not a bad thing, at least for those who are doers.

Does Ayanna Pressley speak for you?

7/21/2019

Picture

Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) speaks at Netroots Nation conference on Saturday: "I don't want to bring a chair to an old table. This is the time to shake the table. This is the time to redefine that table. Because if you're going to come to this table, all of you who have aspirations of running for office. If you’re not prepared to come to that table and represent that voice, don’t come, because we don't need any more brown faces that don't want to be a brown voice. We don’t need black faces that don't want to be a black voice. We don't need Muslims that don’t want to be a Muslim voice. We don’t need queers that don't want to be a queer voice. If you’re worried about being marginalized and stereotyped, please don't even show up because we need you to represent that voice."

So there it is, in the open, not even trying to be nonchalant or give fine hints.  Plain as the pimple on a snowflake, racism at it's higher level...in your elected government official.  Now I do believe we have a blatant case of violation of the civil rights of all those people she was referring to-you know, the "
worried about being marginalized and stereotyped" ones, as they also have the right to show up to participate in politics and run for public office and speak at a town hall and.....oooooh, how can you all stand it?  How can anyone call themselves an American and think and talk like that?

Vote her out!  Send her home to her civilian life!
