For years now, these pages have called for the return of Superman, the proverbial American hero who fights for truth, justice, and the American way.  Our new president seems to be the closest thing we've ever had to a Superman in real life.   I wish my father were here to see all this, he would be so happy and proud that he made the hard and dangerous journey to America.    

These pages DO NOT blindly champion Donald Trump or republicans or conservatism.   If you have been reading along for over 6 years now, you know that these pages champion truth, reason, common sense and above all, the responsibility of every individual to do the best they can in this life for themselves (since that is the best way to help others as well).   If you know me even just a little, you know me to be a "social liberal", as in I hold many "liberal" views about my private life.  I am pro LGBT, pro choice, and happy to be toking whenever the chance arises.  What I am not is a freeloader-I will not fight for your right to "free" anything.    I payed for birth control out of pocket for decades (the price hasn't changed, by the way, so 30 bucks a month was a lot more money 30 years ago than it is now).   Birth control, abortion, your special diet, gym membership, braces, cosmetic surgery, sex reassignment surgery....these are personal issues that are nobody's business but yours, and therefore should not be sponsored by anyone other than YOU.    Now, if you insist on using (my money) tax dollars to pay for these things, then I insist that you let me have a say in your private life.  Want free or subsidized birth control?  Than I should have the right to tell you when and how many children you can have. Or pick your sex partners.   Should I pay for your abortion?  Then I should pay for your sterilization too....change your penis to a vagina? I hear it's getting more affordable all the time now, so start saving.  Do you not want to control your own life?  Are you so willing and ready to give it all away to float on other people's decisions and other people's money?   
       It seems you all forgot your world history classes and what happens with human nature when the incentives to take care of yourself are removed....well, I know they no longer teach that kind of stuff directly, but you could at least take a look around and see the cause and effect for yourself.  I don't want to live by some of your personal rules any more than you want to live by mine,  and I don't expect you to finance my lifestyle choices.  It would be great if we could at least mutually agree on that.   

Well, there were way too many unhappy and uninformed women out marching this weekend.  Someone should have told them that Roe vs. Wade guarantees every woman over the age of 18 a safe and legal abortion in every state of the union since 1973.  That is for 44 years now.  
And someone should have also done their research enlighten all the rest about the Equal Pay Act of 1963, signed on June 10, 1963, guaranteeing equal pay for equal skill and time worked.  It's been around for almost 54 years now.  Any women with a real case of pay discrepancy over gender discrimination would be gladly supported by free legal counsel anywhere in this country...any lawyer would jump at the chance for that recognition.  Now, I am going to go where not many would....I am offended to the ends of my womanhood by the American flag as a jihab.    I am as offended as if I were a black women looking at another woman in a KKK robe, I am as offended as if I were a Jew looking at a woman wrapped in  swastikas. ​ Let's get one thing straight....wearing a jihab is not a lifestyle choice (like I think I'll go blond).  It is a symbol of oppression of everything feminine and female, and the very anthesis  of being an American women.    One can not be a practicing Muslim and also be a true American at the same time.  The two concepts are at odds with each other, directing the follower toward different goals and different ideals.  This is a fact, not my opinion.   Wow, unbelievable.  Real first world women who really don't have enough responsibilities to fill their time with, so they feel the need to whine for things they already have.   Do you really think that women under the real burkas and jihabs can relate to your quest for free birth control?  Or the right to look and act like a man, including using their bathrooms?    Or even the concept of everything being "free"?   Even people in the poorest countries know that nothing is free, that everything is a result of someone's s labor and resources, even if not YOURS?
        Excellent crowd for communism....until everything runs out and they all starve and freeze to death.  I can't wait!

Aaaaaaah....did you hear that?  That was the sound of the collective sigh of relief from tens of millions of citizens who are happy and proud to be alive today...because tomorrow is going to be better than today was!  Why?  Well, just take another listen...wait for it....thump, thump, drum, drum, the sound of the strong march of the New Trinity.  The trinity of Reason, Common Sense and Cause & Effect.

President Trump is neither conservative or liberal.  He really is both a Republican and a Democrat at the same time.  Contradictory?  NO!  We all should understand and live with common sense, reason and understand that all our actions have consequences.  All of us!   The party of Common Sense is finally born-we could call it TRUMPISM.    In that case, I am from now and for ever a Trumpian, a member of the Party of Common Sense.

Congratulations to President Trump!  I believe in him and what he says, and I believe he can deliver what he promised.  And I thank him for it.

 Yup, you read it here first...I'm going to right here and now tell you that Donald J. Trump is going down in the books as one of the greatest leaders this country has ever had.  How and why is this possible?  

#1.    In your face, blatant and unedited words and thoughts -what you see is what you get!   I do realize that this seems as much a negative as a positive, but I think this trait is much preferred over it's opposite.  They're not just words-  Trump seems to jump around, change his mind, be fickle-when in fact he is literally thinking out loud.  And we can all see what and how he is thinking.  Yes, it's chaos.  Sentences don't get finished. Nothing is edited for public consumption. One idea is drowned out by another before he can even express himself.  And you get to see the whole messy process.   Most of us manage to do the thinking and editing mostly silently, or at least a lot quieter.  And that leaves the process a hidden mystery, our spoken words and conclusions arrived at by a private, almost secret process that can hide and mask a genuine reaction or allow us to lie about the actual results we have found.   But you can read Trump's face at any given moment and know just how he feels about what he is hearing or seeing.  You certainly did not get this from any other public figure in a long time, and it's awesomely refreshing.

#2. Tangible result oriented-rather, demands tangible results.  This is important because talk is just that, talk.  All politicians do a lot of talking about things, and never actually get past the planning stage of a project and the establishing of a committee because they waste time, money and resources.   Donald the businessman has mastered this--get it done, or move over because somebody else is waiting to do it behind you.  Maybe even at a savings.  I am looking forward to lots of projects actually being started and completed during his watch, under time and under budget.  This would be an entirely new concept to the way government usually operates, right?

​#3.  EGO-that's right, his ego.  I believe instead of being a deficit, President Trump''s ego is going to be his best friend, his motivator, his guardian angel.  It will not let him fail.  His desire to be the greatest, the best, the most liked and worshipped leader the free world has ever known will be his guide.  Failure is not an option for this ego maniac, and I already know that he will relentlessly pursue the post as if it was the greatest deal he's ever made.  Because it is!
This citizen welcomes the change, the opportunity to revive the Good Book-you know, the Constitution....

     So I've been going about the business of living my life (take a vacation, get a bridge in my face, etc.) when I noticed the news around the world is-well, it's not really news.  Current events are past events that seem to repeat in some sort of irregular cycle, as if we humans are stuck in the perpetual bond of insanity.  Expecting different results from repeated identical behavior-insanity.   Israel will not just swat down Hamas or the Palestinians like a mosquito and put a permanent end to that conflict. They are basically putting ointment on a rash but leaving the dirty diaper on the baby.  Iran is momentarily back to the nuclear negotiating table, the Russians are an expanding empire, the Chinese are looking to join the world in more ways than one, the Africans are dying from violence, decease and starvation, the illegals are pouring over our border, there are spies everywhere spying on everyone, our president is not up to the job and the "world runs amok under his watch", taxes are too high and morality too low.  Then there is North Korea and Iraq and ya-da-da-da-da.  Hmm, what year are we in again?   It's unreal how we just keep repeating  certain behaviors that really don't get us anywhere.  Like hamsters in a cage, running and running and running the wheel-it really is collective insanity on the world scale.  To stop it takes enormous will and power-the power to say what you mean, and mean what you say.   Unfortunately, the people with the power lack the will, and the people with the will lack the power, just as in the "border" issue.
     I took the citizenship oath (read on home page) on August 24, 1979. 
Happy 35th anniversary coming for me!  I often say  the world is such a different place now, but is it really?
